A really nice place to eat! We loved the decoration, the delicious food and the many options they have. Last but not least: service! Our waitress explained what ever we needed, she checked with us if everything was good and offered options regarding beverages. Our Airbnb owner recommended it to us, and now is my turn! Well done! By the way, we were visiting Boston for the very first time and this is a must visit place!

Best diner around. Always parking available. Busy but not too busy.

Really nice waitress and got our food in good time even though it was busy. :) the homefries and eggs were like a solid B+ but the bread & French toast were amazing and local.

Great atmosphere, large menu, great portions, affordable... But as I told my boyfriend, maybe avoid ordering teriyaki from an American diner (it was as expected unauthentic and overly sweet and saturated in sauce). The club sandwich was tasty as were the fries which came out nice and hot. Will be coming back again

My new favorite diner! Excellent omelettes and their harvest salad is great also. However, it's a bit on the pricier end for some items (the salad with chicken added came to around $17). Reasonable prices for most things, though, and the food is delicious. I definitely plan on returning soon!

Amazing atmosphere and has a very vibrant interior. Service is also very fast and friendly. There was a line as well during breakfast and thatΓ’β¬β’s how you know this place is good. They do all the classics very well. Since its my first time I always like to test the waters with classic breakfast items. The eggs were perfectly cooked to what I asked. The sausage links had a slight char and crunch with a succulent meaty chew. The bacon was perfect too. Crispy but not oily at all. The only gripe I had was with the pancakes. This may just be a personal preference but in my opinion, the pancakes were a bit on the heavy and dense side. I prefer it to be light and airy so it soaks up the syrup. Other than that everything else was amazing! I would no doubt come back. The other items on the menu are enticing me to come back and try them.

This restaurant gives awesome service as well as enjoyable menu. One of the best place around town. The meals arrived quickly and the prices are inexpensive. Recommended.

Johnny's Luncheonette is a reimagined diner that serves leveled-up traditional diner fare. The menu is full of creative ideas, plates are tasty, and customers should expect to pay a premium for the menu upgrades over a traditional greasy spoon diner. I would suggest getting the coffee milkshake.

Very good for breakfast and lunch meetings. Good variety on menu. Sometimes there is a wait to get a booth as opposed to a table.I particularly like their soups. When served in their very large bowls, it can be a lunch by itself.

Usually pretty good-breakfast anyway. Had pastrami sandwich for lunch. They grill the pastrami before putting it on the bun. Never had it that way and don't like it either.

Worth the wait. The word about Johnny's is out, and I'm the happier for it. Come with patience and get rewarded with first rate diner fare and atmosphere. Order a shake one way or the other.

Amazing little place and actually has parking!

Pretty popular place but quick service so not much of a wait time but try to get in early. Do not miss the mini milkshake. Decent portion size, if you are used to eating big portions you might need two entrees.

Really cozy American diner with the usual nice atmosphere. The pancakes are really good and we went for the special as well, that turned out great. The coffee was really good also. If youΓ’β¬β’re looking for a true Diner, this is it.

I LOVE this place! Great extensive menu, something for everyone! They have awesome French toast, oreo cookie, coconut and almond and bananas foster! Also try their homemade potato chips!

Not bad. Too simple for the price though

Awesome place with great diner-style food but with a creative twist. Been here many times and always bring friends here who always love it. Everything is amazing from the milkshakes to the omelettes to the deli sandwiches and more unique meals like a bacon and egg sandwich on a latke!

The food and service are always stellar. This is what a diner is supposed to be.

I think someone from JR Corp offices should go here. I walked in with my nine year old daughter and we werehit by the smell of sour dairy products. Then after waiting five minutes a man finally came out of the back room area. We took our seats, we were the only ones there at 2pm, (that should have been a tip off). The food was frozen and poorly fried. It was cheap and there was no emotion in the cooking. We watched a girl bring in frozen supermarket french fries and frozen hamburger patties. It was a waste of my money.I love Johnny Rockets and have been to a dozen around the world. This one should be closed down.

Pretty good lunch spot. Never went here in the 10+ years I lived in Newton, but am glad that I did. I went for the omelette, which you should not do if you come here. From everything else we tried, the chicken + waffles are delicious. The salmon + egg was also absolutely great as well, but the best item according to the table is probably The Semi. The eggs are cooked extremely well here. The coffee was OK (as expected). The wait was 30 minutes, which was a lot longer than I thought.TIP: Make sure to call ahead - I did, but still had to wait 30 minutes.

Great breakfast place. Fluffy pancakes. V popular with the locals, be there before 8.30

Extensive menu. Very good food.

My "Larry David" was very good, but the corned beef hash was a little lacklusterΓ’β¬βthe potato to meat ratio was a little off.
Natasha Williams
The servers are very nice. They answered every question we had and gave lovely suggestions. The food tasted amazing and the price was terrific for the quality!

Just hadbrwafast there at 12:30. Fantastic that they serve breakfast alk day. Counter server, nice young lady was attentive and polite. Service was quick. Problem, i ordered eggs Benedict. Eggs were undercooked, the white portion was clear and runny. The hollandaise sauce was so thin that the ham had a stronger flavor. I might try it again fir a regular breakfast someday, just not now.

Great food! Waitress didn't offer us coffee refills, but I suppose I could have asked.

I stopped in to Johnny's on a holiday they pretty busy for it being a 11am on Monday. We were placed on a wait, the host quickly moved the wait down, and we were sat in about 10 minutesI ordered the Buffalo Mac & Cheese. It was very good, not overly spicy but had a lot of blue cheese crumbles in it, good for my tastes. The dish itself wasn't very big.My wife had the "Gone Bananas" dish which was basically banana bread French toast with a chocolate drizzle, sliced bananas, and whipped cream. It was very rich in taste, but delicious. Our Server was a young woman by the name of Liza. I was very impressed with her attentiveness and courtesy, and I would recommend that if she's available ask for her.Overall: I would recommend this diner based on price, service and taste of food. Cons, there is no parking, bring quarters to feed the meter.Keep up the good work :)

Very nice and vintage American breakfast place. The food was absolutely delicious and the waiters were very nice and fast. The prices were very fair and I liked the interior of this restaurant. I would definitely recommend you this place if you want to have good breakfast.

What a great pkace to have breakfast for dinner. Wait staff was excellent and food was delicious. I had toasted Coconut French toast with Strawberries. Real Maple syrup is served for a nominal charge and well worth it. Can't wait to go again.
Henrique Leardini
Amazing place, amazing atmospherr, and oh my word the food is amazing and the price is very reasonable! Definitely coming back! Super Recommend

Peter Barrera
Lots of good stuff. Matzos ball soup was great. Don't get the pastrami.
Liam Patrick
Great breakfast option that is very kid-friendly. Good pricing but also have real maple syrup, healthier options. My 4 year old loves going here, though it probably also has to do with the mini milkshake she's allowed to have there
julia sanchez
Large portions! I loved the hot pastrami sandwich with the sweet potatoe fries!
Samuel A
Lovely place. Good food, great staff. I especially like all the options available as sides with the meals.
Danielle Wales
Food is delicious, service fast, staff friendly, great place to have a conversation over breakfast. A word of caution - oatmeal is nuclear hot. Parking nearby in Muni lot or on street.
Eric Ferreiro
Expect a wait but totally worth it. Great menu, they have the classics and a few original options as well
Suzanne Nam
Classic diner food at reasonable prices. Love the atmosphere here, too as it's casual and comfortable. All day brunch and breakfast items and an inexpensive kids menu, too. Not too many healthy/light options but the salads are nice.
Paul Burgwardt
Great place for breakfast! We really enjoyed the mini-milkshakes and smoothies!
Gina Hart
Was nice friendly staff. Whole place had a 1950's vibe was nice that they had smaller portions on a lot of things of the menu.
